I used the wall-mount originally used in the living room. Now this one swings off to the side and the entire cabinet becomes storage space.

Living Room Television Install 001
The first step was getting the old TV out. I had to pull the shelf out and remove four bolts holding the metal plate to the shelf. The old TV was fastened to the wood shelf with four screws that can't be seen with the metal plate in place.

I used a pivoting wall mount bracket mounted on the shelf. You can see the original wires are pretty much stretched to the limit with the TV extended.

Here's a shot of the underside of the metal plate. The two bolts at the outside edges are the original bolts that had to be removed. The two center bolts come all the way down from the bracket, through the shelf and plate.
